Alexandria Estelle Raine was adopted when she was six years old after her wizard father murdered her mother and brother. The family that took her in was a kind family, a family that had struggled to conceive children for a long time. She grew up sheltered, most of the time she spent indoors reading books, trying to find a way to explore the world. She learned pretty quickly that she preferred being in smaller groups than larger ones. Her parents always encouraged her to try her best, be kind to others and be positive.

Lexie has always been grateful to the fact she had been adopted instead of being left in an orphanage. She's a giver, she wanted to give her parents the perfect child they had dreamed off, she wanted her friends to be happy, she was always helping others.  However, there was always a little part of her that wanted to be a little selfish. She was always curious about the world. Why did certain things happen to certain people. There was also a little part where she wanted something different to happen to her otherwise normal happy life. This little side got its wish when she got her letter from Hogwarts.

Her parents were reluctant to let her go off on her own at the age of 11. They’d only had her for five years after all! It took a lot of beginning and convincing from the pre-teen for them to finally agree to let her go and explore this new and very surprising development.

Hogwarts was unlike anything she had experienced. From her very first day, she had been friendly to well… everyone, even those who saw someone who came from muggles as ‘beneath’ them. It took her a while to learn what it meant to come from the muggle world, but she would never let a few means words and actions bring her down too much. From her very first class, she had always tried her best, even in the subjects she wasn’t very good at. From the very first year, she tried her best to help others through the peculiar, and sometimes dangerous things happening around them.

Now that the wizarding world was becoming darker and distrust was hanging in the air she hoped to be able to stay positive as she figures out what she wants to do in the world.

RP SAMPLE

It was a rainy day, while most of the other children whined about being stuck indoors all day one child was rather calm and enjoying themselves. Lexie found herself sitting in a large armchair a book in her lap. She had already read through this book, she had read most of the books she could decipher at the age of five. Even so, she couldn’t help but come back to this particular book where fairies, witches, and heroes existed. She loved how the fairies were the heroines in the story and while the male heroes were there to help out it was the fairies that saved the world from one trio of witches. In one scene of the book a battle involving all three factions battling the trio was described and it was her favorite scene to imagine or even reenact.

The small brunette looked out the window, in the book her favorite battle took place under the rain. Just thinking about it made her smile. She closed her eyes content with just being alone in this corner of the room and the book in her lap.

“Lexie, there’s someone here to meet you.”

The young girl looked up, her large, brown eyes landing on her caretaker before they moved to the pair of adults standing behind her. She smiled as she the caretaker held out her hand, helping the child up to her feet. Lexie set the book down beside the window before being led to a different room. A room where she was to find out this couple were willing to take her in, to make her part of their family.
