"Hmm, that's true. You've even seen me when I wake up in the morning and that's truly me at my ugliest." Lorena joked before shaking her head. "Honestly, I think we know basically everything about each other. We've been together since we were kids, but it's never a dull moment when we're together." As she mentioned her childhood, Lorena couldn't help but smile as memories of them started to flood into her head. "It's weird... I know we've grown up and time has passed us, but I can't help but feel we were just kids playing together and having fun..." Lorena wished she could go back to the better times, since Blaise was one of the few things that brought her joy in her childhood, but she knew that they would both have to grow up and they both would have to make their own lives, eventually.
"Better than family." Lorena repeated, smiling at her friend. "Hey, will you promise me something?" She asked. "I don't know what the future holds for both of us... but will you promise me that no matter what, we'll stick together? Even if we're both married with kids or not, I still want you to be in my life and I hope you'd still want to be in mine. So, please promise me... together forever?" She knew she would try to have Blaise in her life for as long as she could, but with everything that was going on with Anthony, she was starting to fear losing him. What if Lorena and Anthony got together and Blaise didn't approve? She wanted his approval and she wanted him to be apart of her life, but what if he never forgave her for lying about all this? It frightened her.
Lorena giggled at Blaise's joking, her mood being uplifted a bit because of it. Of course she wanted to rebuttal against him, but she couldn't. She knew that she would probably accept Anthony for all his flaws if they entered into a relationship with each other, but Lorena couldn't help but feel like her flaws were an exception to what Blaise said. Anyone who fell for her could possibly end up in danger and that was way more serious than a flaw like someone snoring in their sleep. Still, she knew if she argued, it would be pointless. Blaise usually found a way to rebuttal her insecurities, even though she didn't full believe them. "Boy, for someone who isn't really interested in dating anyone, you sure are knowledgeable about relationships." She teased with a smirk.
Once again, he agreed to go with her, causing Lorena to grin with happiness. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, Blaise! I promise we'll have an amazing time!" With that, she closed her books and packed up her materials. "I can't study anymore! I need to start planning out what I'm going to wear and I have to plan out how we're going to coordinate! I've got so much to do!" Once she finished gathering her materials together. "Shall we walk back to the common room together, or will you be staying here?"Tagged: Blaise Zabini

Blaise smirked. What a girl thing to say, that she was ugly in the morning. Women were always going on about their looks. Blaise knew that he was good looking all the time, he didn't have to dwell on his least appealing moments (because he was still better looking than just about everyone else at his worst). “Some people would disagree. It's more about finding the person that fits your personality. You and I might find things amusing where others don't.” Of course, that was probably because they were smart enough to see subtle humor. He looked at Lorena with some affection, but the care was in his eyes, and one would have to know him fairly well to even recognize it. “Did we ever play together? I can't recall that.” He was teasing her, because he'd even been somewhat serious as a child, and rather against being dirty and rambunctious. He did recall having to chase her around, though, for order. He did have fun in his own way. That was why he stuck around even today.
“No matter what?” Blaise asked her, considering what that could mean. He understood that she referred to their lives changing naturally as they did through time. But given the way that the world had changed since they were younger, he had to add in more 'ifs'.”As long as you don't become of those desperate people flocking to the dark lord then we will always be friends. I don't know that I could handle that level of pretending if you decided that you wanted to become one of them.” She was pretty easy for him to see through as far as her mocking her classmates because that was what the world wanted from her. But actually becoming a killer, a follower of Voldemort? Yeah right. Blaise was against that level of blood hate anyway. Once you got rid of muggles, who was there to be superior to? “But... I know what you mean. I don't think that you have to worry about me.” He shrugged when she said that he knew a lot about relationships. Whether she meant it or was being sarcastic, Blaise could explain it away. “It's because I know these things that I don't want to be in a relationship. I have seen it happen again and again with my mother. Not to mention all of the sad people in this school mooning over each other. I don't really see how I can be improved by bringing someone else into my life and having them try to change it. I can handle things on my own. Relationships are for people who can't, or who like the drama.” He looked at Lorena with a wee smirk, wondering which one she was.
He still highly doubted that he would enjoy the dance at all, but seeing that she was happy made him feel a little less annoyed about it. “Don't let your grades slip just because of a dance. There will be more of them in the future, you know.” He was sounding quite a lot like a father at the moment and he actually cringed. He got together his own things, deciding that he had somewhat lost his focus anyway. “I'll walk back with you. Just... don't make me do anything too ridiculous, okay?”

Blaise did bring up a good point. Their humor and personality did correlate, and even though Lorena did like to talk Blaise's ear off at times, she didn't mind when they were just in each other's company without uttering a word. She just felt completely comfortable with him and she felt like she didn't have to always have something to talk about to make something less awkward. She hardly ever felt awkward with Blaise and that was something she was forever grateful for.
"Well, I wouldn't really say play, more like me trying to boss you around." She replied, smirking. It was no secret that she didn't really have much a childhood, but she remembered when she was able to be with Blaise, she would really try to have as much fun as possible. Whether it be running around or even just trying to get Blaise to play with her. Though Blaise and Lorena were opposites when it came to their personalities, she always looked forward to Blaise's visits or vice-versa. She would feel so much excitement whenever she was told Blaise's family was coming over or her family was going over to their house. Spending time with Blaise felt like the only time she didn't have to worry about anything and could just be herself. Even now, as a teen, Lorena felt the same way. Being with Blaise was a time where she could drop her front for a while and just talk with someone she respected and cared for. She didn't know if friend soulmates existed, but if it did, she knew Blaise was hers.
Lorena scoffed at Blaise's words before shaking her head. "Never. You have my word on that." She promised. "Besides, if I became one of them, that would mean I would have to spend more time with my parents and that is something I'm desperately trying to avoid." She said, finding a slight bit of humor in her unique situation. "I know I never have to worry about you, Blaise, but you know I can't help it." She admitted before elbowing him gently. "I worry about you so much that I'll grow worry lines by the time I'm 30." She joked with a small smile. Of course she worried about Blaise, since he was one of the few she actually cherished in her life and if anything happened to him, she would be devastated. Still, she knew she didn't need to worry since he was perfectly capable of taking care of himself, but she still couldn't help but wonder how he was when they were apart.
Lorena couldn't help but giggle a bit when Blaise started to explain how he was knowledgeable about relationships even though she was only joking. She was used to it though, since it was just a Blaise thing to do. However, when he looked her with a smirk, Lorena rolled her eyes. "You jerk." She said playfully, knowing very what that look meant. "For your information, I hate drama and if I had a relationship, I could handle it very well, thank you very much." She explained with a slight pout. Though she was playfully defending herself, she knew she couldn't handle a relationship, because she brought way too much baggage. She was insecure, a liar, had trust issues, and had crazy parents. That would be too much for anyone to unpack. Still, the thought of Anthony quickly went through her mind. Of course she was interested in him and the thought of being in a relationship with him excited her, but she didn't think she could put him through all the drama that came with dating her. She was just a lost cause and she wouldn't want to but Anthony through any of it.
When Blaise started to get somewhat parental, Lorena rolled her eyes but smiled nonetheless. "Yes, father." She teased. "But come on, Blaise, it's me! You think I'd actually make you look ridiculous?" She asked with an innocent tone as a small smirk appeared on her lips. "Now, let's go! I have a lot of planning to do."
